This Privacy Policy explains how PG Citizens for Sensible Government (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit c4sgpg.org (the “Site”) or interact with us online.

We collect information in the following ways:

A. Information you provide to us
Contact information (such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address) when you sign up for updates, submit a form, RSVP, or contact us.
Contribution/payment-related information when you make a contribution through the Site.
Important: Payment card details are generally collected and processed by our payment processor and hosting providers (see “Payments and third parties” below). We may receive limited details such as your name, email, billing ZIP code, and contribution amount, depending on processor settings.

B. Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:
• Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, device identifiers)
• Site usage information (pages visited, links clicked, time spent)
• Approximate location (based on IP address)
• Cookie and tracking data (see “Cookies” below)

2) How we use your information

We use information to:
• Operate and maintain the Site
• Respond to messages and requests
• Send updates, alerts, and informational communications you request or opt into
• Process contributions and prevent fraud
• Improve Site functionality and understand how visitors use the Site
• Comply with legal obligations, including campaign finance and reporting requirements

3) Campaign finance disclosure notice

Contributions to political committees may be subject to public disclosure under California campaign finance laws. If your contribution is reportable, information such as your name, city/state, occupation, and employer, and contribution amount and date may be reported in publicly available filings.

Contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

4) When we share information

We may share information:
• With service providers who help us run the Site and process contributions (e.g., website hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing)
• To comply with law or respond to lawful requests (including campaign finance reporting)
• To protect rights and safety, including preventing fraud, enforcing our policies, and protecting our organization and supporters
• In connection with organizational changes, such as reorganization or transition of operations (information would remain subject to this policy)

We do not sell your personal information.

5) Payments and third parties (Wix)

We use Wix to host the Site and may use Wix’s integrated tools and payment partners to process contributions. Wix and its partners may collect and process information under their own privacy practices. We recommend reviewing Wix’s privacy policy and any payment processor privacy terms shown during checkout.

6) Cookies and analytics

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:
• Remember preferences
• Understand Site usage and performance
• Help protect against fraud and abuse

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some Site features may not function properly.

7) Email and communications preferences

If you opt in to receive emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our messages (if provided) or by emailing info@c4sgpg.org. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing-style updates, we may still send administrative or legally required messages when appropriate.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to:
• Provide the Site and communications you request
• Maintain required records (including campaign finance compliance)
• Resolve disputes and enforce policies

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10) Children’s privacy

The Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at info@c4sgpg.org.

11) Your privacy rights (U.S. and California)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email info@c4sgpg.org. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Please note: Some information may need to be retained for legal compliance, including campaign finance recordkeeping and reporting.

12) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect changes. Your continued use of the Site after updates means you accept the updated policy.
